What
are the hazards?
Who
might be harmed and how?
What
are you already doing?
Do you
need to do anything else to control this risk?
Action
by who?
Action
by when?
Done
Dropping
equipment
people
around/underneath you when you are carrying big or heavy equipment. If you
were to drop some of your equipment for example a lantern from a ladder you
could seriously damage whoever is underneath you.
when
someone is spotting you while your on the ladder they must wear a hard hat
for protection or if your doing work up ladders with generally heavy
equipment then everyone who is working in an area near or under you they must
also be wearing hard hats.
.
make
sure that when your attaching equipment to the IWB's make
sure that they are attached by a safety chain, therefore reducing the risk of
it falling.
who
ever is operating up ladders or with the IWB's. Or whoever is carrying heavy
equipment.
while you are up a ladder
/before you come down.
Falling
off a ladder
Yourself
or who is working with/around you. If you were to fall of a ladder you could
seriously damage yourself alongside the people beneath you or the
equipment your working with
whenever
you go up a ladder you must make sure that you have someone spotting you with
a hard hat on and that you don't go above the third from top step otherwise
there is potential for you to loose your balance.
That
while you are up a ladder you need to make sure that your not overreaching
,therefore putting yourself or others at danger by you potentially loosing
balance.
whoever
is up the ladder/ who is spotting the ladder.
before
you go up/while your up the ladder.
Ladder
falling over
yourself
or those around the ladder because if you were to put a ladder on an uneven
surface then it could fall and hurt someone or damage equipment.
making
sure that two people set up the ladder safely and that before someone is to
go up the ladder they have someone ready to spot them.
make
sure that the ladder is set up sensibly and that its on an even
surface.
whoever
is setting up the light.
before
anyone goes up the ladder.
Slips
and Trips
People
who are moving in the working environment could get
their feet caught in the
FloorPAR’s cables therefore creating a
trip hazard .
Make
people aware who are using the office or are moving around the staging area
that there are wires and also make sure that all the wires are taped down
therefore reducing the trip hazard.
N/A
Whoever
is responsible for using these wires must make sure that they have made
everyone aware.
Before
anyone uses the working space.
Manual Handling
Anyone
who is moving the ladder or is around the ladder when its being moved . They
could be harmed by when someone who is carrying the ladder was to drop it on
them it could do some damage. Or damage the ladder
Making
sure that there are two people carrying the ladder whenever its being moved ,
making sure that there are always two people operating the ladder with appropriate
equipment , making sure that you bend your knees and keep a straight back
when your lifting the ladder so that you don’t damage your back.
N/A
Whoever
is operating the ladder or lifting the ladder or is around the ladder.
Before
/ while you are operating the ladder .
